Upcoming EventsThe Gesualdo Six is an award-winning British vocal ensemble comprising some of the UK’s finest consort singers. The group have performed in numerous major festivals across the UK, Europe, Canada and Australia, and have been praised for their imaginative programming and impeccable blend. Notable highlights include a concert in the distinguished 2018 Deutschland Radio Debut Series and collaborations with the Brodsky Quartet, William Barton and Matilda Lloyd. Videos of the group recorded in Ely Cathedral have been watched by millions around the world, and The Gesualdo Six have released three discs on Hyperion Records to critical acclaim; the group’s latest recording was awarded Vocal & Choral Recording of the Year 2020 by Limelight. The ensemble integrates educational work into its activities, regularly holding workshops for young musicians and composers. The Gesualdo Six has curated two Composition Competitions, with the 2019 edition attracting entries from over three hundred composers around the world.
LENT SESSIONS
The Gesualdo Six present a series of short recitals for the season of Lent, featuring motets, hymns and plainchant recorded at the historic church of St Bartholomew the Great in London.
A new episode will air every Sunday during Lent, with a total of 8 performances. Ticket holders will be able to watch each recital on-demand until 14 April 2021.
